Our Hemstitched Blankets are made from two layers of flannel fabric hemstitched together at the edges. Hemstitching is a method of creating small reinforced holes along the edges of the blanket that can then be used to insert a crochet hook and create a decorative crocheted edging.

A hemstitched baby blanket is a fun way to add your own touch to that special baby gift as they require a crochet edge to be added by you to finish the blanket.

These large hemstitched blankets measure approx 40 x 40 with our standard fabrics and 36 x 36 when made with 1 or more of our designer fabrics. You can purchase one of our fabric combos below or DESIGN your own custom hemstitched blanket here. We would be happy to help you match fabrics if needed... just contact us.

PERSONALIZE IT - We also offer the option to add a name to your blanket! This is done by purchasing the embroidery or applique services found at the bottom of the page and selecting the font you desire.

*** Please note that any custom blanket including our DESIGNER FABRICs will be 36" x 36",
not our traditional 40" x 40". The larger 40" x 40" blanket is available with these fabrics by request for an additional $3. If you would like the larger size, please email me and I'll send you a Paypal invoice for your total order. ***

Embroidery - is done with coordinating thread to match your hemstitched blanket.
Applique - is done with coordinating thread AND the fabric from the front side of your blanket.

By default, personalization of your hemstitched blanket will be done on the "backing" side at an angle in the top corner. This allows the name to be folded over and visible when swaddling. If you want a different name placement, please contact me after purchase.
